Nui Beach: Phuket's Hidden Gem

Located at Soi Laemmumnok, Tambon Karon, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Chang Wat Phuket 83100 in southwest Phuket, Nui Beach is a perfect alternative for those seeking an escape from the crowded beaches. It's ideal for those looking for a calmer, less crowded beach experience. Enchanting with its white sands and turquoise waters, Nui Beach is one of Phuket's lesser-known beauties.

How to Get to Nui Beach?

Getting to Nui Beach is usually done by taxi or rental car. Starting from Karon Beach, follow the signs for Soi Laemmumnok to reach the beach. Public transportation options are limited, so taking a taxi or renting a car is the most practical method. You can use navigation apps to pinpoint your location and choose the best route. The final part of the road to the beach can be a bit bumpy, so careful driving is recommended.

Why Choose Nui Beach?

Nui Beach offers a calm and peaceful environment, away from the crowds of other beaches. Because it's less crowded, you can enjoy the sea and sun more comfortably. Its white sandy beach and clear waters create an ideal environment for swimming and sunbathing. You can also explore the beauty of the surrounding nature, go for a walk, or simply relax. The fewer commercial establishments provide a more natural and authentic beach experience.

When to Go?

Phuket enjoys dry and sunny weather from November to April. This period is the most ideal time to visit Nui Beach. During these months, the temperature is generally high and the sea is calm. However, keep in mind that this is also the high season, so accommodation and transportation costs may be higher. From May to October, monsoon rains are more frequent, but you can find lower-priced accommodation and airfare during this period. You can still enjoy the beach during the rainy season, but be mindful of potential water pollution after rainfall.

Overall it's a nice place. We went for a hike, the start was hidden behind the restroom building and it was really difficult but very nice. The trail can be found on AllTrails.

For anyone looking for a breathtaking, secluded beach with crystal-clear water, Nui Beach is a dream. The journey itself is a fun off-road experience that adds a touch of beauty—unless, of course, you believe every paradise needs a four-lane highway. Now, let's clear up some misconceptions: Like all beaches in Thailand, Nui Beach is part of the kingdom's natural beauty and is open to everyone. You can enjoy the sand and sea for free. However, the sun loungers, bar, and other amenities are privately run, and naturally, there's a fee for access to these amenities, just like any place offering quality service in a beautiful setting. Some visitors seem surprised that a remote beach club doesn't operate like a charity, but for those who appreciate a well-preserved paradise and don't mind supporting the people who make it special, Nui Beach is well worth the price. If adventure, exclusivity, and stunning scenery are your thing, you'll love it here as much as we did! And a special note: the owner's responses to silly reviews are a true treasure in themselves—some of the best communication I've ever seen, raw and honest. That alone makes this positive review worth writing. Would I recommend it? (If you disagree, get yourself checked mentally.)

It's quite an experience. Nui Beach is a hidden gem. Despite being close to busy Kata, it feels like you're in a peaceful otherworldly setting. Far from the crowds, there are stunning views, crystal-clear water, and plenty of beautiful fish if you're up for an impromptu snorkeling session. The road to the beach is steep and uneven, so consider hiking there (or using a scooter with good suspension). Locals also offer 4x4 taxi and ATV services. The path through the forest is well worth the effort.
