The sea was beautiful, but the staff weren't very nice. It costs 400 TL per person for an umbrella and sunbed. But you pay that much, but they charge an additional 20 TL for the toilet and 40 TL for the shower, and they don't issue a receipt for that. The toilets are very dirty and poorly maintained.

Despite being a public area, businesses have practically surrounded the entire beach. We bought three sun loungers; even though I only wanted two, they said, "Since there are three of us, we have to charge per person," and demanded three. Despite this, we were only given one umbrella, meaning one person had to stay in the sun.

There are also no showers or sinks. They don't disclose this information upfront and then charge extra. This feels like opportunism. The beachfront landscaping is well-done, but it falls short in terms of transparency and service quality.

The sea is shallow but quite mossy. Overall, it's a 2 out of 5.

Located in Marmara Ereğli, Tekirdağ, about 90 km from Istanbul, this is a perfect beach with sandy shores and sea. Its proximity to Istanbul, its sandy beach, and its shallow waters make it particularly suitable for families with children. Entry to the beach is free, and you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas in the area where a few hotels are located. I've previously commented on the hotel beaches. The best part is that it's close to Istanbul but far enough away that not everyone can get there. My philosophy is to avoid picnicking or going to the beach where the IETT buses go. Don't get me wrong, but unfortunately, that's the situation. We use the Tekirdağ side of the beach. It's more family-friendly, and I understand it's the locals' favorite. The hotel side is a bit busier. It's a beach where you can comfortably swim with your family, and everyone is at their own pace. The sea is clean, and even if you go 50 meters out, it's not too deep. Be prepared; food and drink options are limited. There are bagel vendors along the roadside, along with one or two kiosks. Alternatively, you can buy food and drinks at the hotel kiosks.

There are sun loungers and umbrellas available for 400 TL. Toilets and showers are charged. The sea was oily, which we weren't very happy with; it was shallow for a long time. There are also a few businesses.

It's a wonderful place. The water was crystal clear and clean. There were no seaweed or jellyfish. The combination of a sandy beach and the sea was also very nice. It wasn't too crowded. The shallow water makes it ideal for fun in the water and a safe environment for children. If you find a parking spot and bring your own table, umbrella, and chairs, you can enjoy the sea without paying any fees. Camping or setting up a tent is also easy. Showers and cabins are available for a fee. A shower costs around 40 TL. There's a small kiosk available. If you want to park your car near the beach, you have to pay 400 TL to a private company. The same company also provides two sun loungers and an umbrella for 400 TL. This is a place I would choose again for a swim and has become my favorite beach near Istanbul.
