Our go-to spot is in front of Culatra and Armona. You can find a secluded stretch of beach by walking along the pier and the beach.

The sea was clean and shallow, although a bit choppy on some days. The ferry ride from Faro takes about 45 minutes.

This lighthouse, which offers free admission throughout the summer (every day except Mondays), has 220 steps. The view from the top is stunning. It's a great place to spend time when you can't stay out in the sun.

Our favorite is Olhao Beach. A short ferry ride and you're in a completely different world. A sun-filled, relaxing world of beach life. A short walk off the ferry and to the left takes you to Lighthouse Beach. We were lucky to snag the last four sun loungers for €50. We had a wonderful day until we boarded the ferry at 4:00 PM. The ferry going there was crowded, and the return ferry was completely full, and not everyone could get on. Some had to take the next ferry at 6:15 PM. Keep this in mind when returning home. The beach is huge, the sea is crystal clear, and it's quite beautiful. Although crowded, it doesn't feel overwhelming. It has a wonderful atmosphere.
