The beach itself is beautiful and welcoming. Access by road is challenging, with 20 minutes of sharp bends and a very steep incline. The parking lot is inaccessible by regular cars due to the asphalt erosion, only off-road, but six or seven cars can easily park at the edge without causing traffic problems. We arrived at 12:00 PM on a Thursday in June, and there were about ten people there. Occasionally, a chartered boat pulls into the bay, but the surrounding area remains quiet and peaceful. From 4:00 PM onward, the beach and sea are shaded by the mountains and olive trees, which give the pebbles a greenish hue due to algae. The area is dotted with iron pipes and even the seabed, likely leftovers from post-production on the film "Captain Corelli's Mandolin," filmed here in 2000. What bothered us most was the intense presence of wasps, hornets, flies, and horseflies. It's difficult and dangerous to eat. However, this place is worth a visit.

A perfect, quiet beach. No parking, and the road is a zigzag, so it's not very popular. Maximum occupancy: 20 people. Coarse gravel. Crystal-clear water. Natural shade from olive trees. No need for an umbrella. Arrive at 9am and you'll be left alone. It's idyllic.

A beautiful little beach, clean (without seaweed). Getting here is a bit of an adventure due to the narrow roads and bends, but there's a paved road along the way. It's worth parking before the last bend. It gets busier as the day progresses. It's worth arriving around 10 a.m. or earlier. The olive trees also offer natural shade. The waves are very low. There are wasps and ants, not too bothersome, but they still come.

I'm giving it 3 stars simply because I wanted to see the beaches in the movie Captain Corelli. I should have given it at most two. The stress of driving to this beach wasn't worth the view. The road is tragic, with 180-degree turns. The final descent in a large car was tragic, literally centimeters, and it took about 15 minutes with navigation to avoid going off the road because it's so narrow. At the end of the road, there's a very limited turn in a large car because this road is tragic, and suddenly there's a 10cm drop to the side from the sea, and you can hang your wheels and not get out. There was only one car down there, and it took us 25 minutes to get back. Now imagine there are several in season. I can't imagine being on this road if there's a car coming from the opposite direction. There are no barriers, warnings, etc., it's too narrow. Skip the June to September season; there are better beaches in Kefalonia, or walk down, because it's not worth the stress. A large car or automatic would be a major problem, as the descents are steep and there are twists and turns after 180 degrees, and a toddler might not be able to navigate the route. This is a completely different route from the road to Myrtos Beach. It's a rocky beach, a small olive grove in the background, and that's it—a few rock shelves on the sides.

It's a beautiful, shady, and narrow beach. However, the road to it is long and can be dangerous due to the valleys and the abundance of sea urchins. The view over Ithaca is breathtaking. You should definitely wear water shoes.
