The Most Beautiful Beaches in Kotor

Boasting a unique fjord-like landscape of the Adriatic, the Bay of Kotor boasts not only its historical beauty but also unique beaches where you can take a dip in the cool waters. While the bay's unique character allows for beaches to be generally pebble or concrete platforms, the views are priceless.

The Bay's Featured Swimming Spots
Orahovac Beach

It's one of the closest and most popular beaches to Kotor's center. Orahovac, with its small pebbles and crystal-clear waters, is ideal for a full day of relaxation thanks to the surrounding cafes and restaurants. It offers a tranquil and scenic swimming experience.

Morinj Beach

Located in the northern part of the bay, close to the ferry terminal, the beach is mostly pebbles and rocks, but combined with the area's renowned seafood restaurants (especially Ćatovića Mlini), it makes an attractive stopover. Its calm waters are perfect for swimming.

Bajova Kula Beach

Located between Perast and Orahovac, this established beach is known for its clear waters and stunning views of the islands. It's ideal for those seeking quality service. It's built on a small pebble strip and has organized sunbeds.

Bigova Bay

Located on the outskirts of the Bay of Kotor, near Tivat, Bigova is a former fishing village. Its beach is mostly made of concrete and rocky platforms, but its authentic atmosphere and incredible sea clarity make it a must-see for those looking to escape the crowds. The seafood here is fresh.

Perast and its platforms

While not your typical sandy beach, the concrete platforms along the coastline of Perast town are used for swimming while enjoying some of the region's most iconic views. Swimming while looking out over the island of Our Lady of the Rocks is a unique experience.

Many of the beaches in Kotor can get quite crowded during the summer months, so going early will give the best experience.
