The beach certainly doesn't have the cleanest water. On the plus side, repairs are underway in many parts of the seawall, and there's a promenade. For the rest, I'm judging by the area behind the Aquamarine Hotel, near the Thirst Cafe. There are changing rooms there, but no showers. There are paid sun loungers and umbrellas. The stones are smooth, the pebbles at the entrance are small, and it's possible there's no coral. From there, towards the dolphinarium, it's essentially a wild beach. There's not much litter, but it would be cleaner if the piglets cleaned up on their own. When I left, I always collected any trash (small plastic bottles, etc.) along the way in a bag. Wedges and sticks were thrown further along the shoreline, and within a few days, the results were noticeable. Fortunately, there's a large container near the Thirst Cafe, and many people throw their trash there. But some people even leave broken glass behind. If the noise of the water does not suit you and you have the opportunity (car, taxi) or you are not too lazy to spend 20 minutes, then it is better to go with your child to the beach in Ldza (behind Pitsunda), where the water is much clearer and quieter, not Mediterranean.

The impression of the beach is ambivalent. On the one hand, everything is close and comfortable, on the other hand, crowded holidaymakers, millions of restaurants along the shore, trillions of screaming children, garbage and, of course, the famous Gagra sewer drains flowing into the sea.

It's a beautiful place, the beach is pebbly, but it's the Black Sea coast after all. The Black Sea gets deeper as you go a little further, so be careful.
