First of all, the sea and beach are nice and clean. The environment is quiet. Showers and toilets are paid. Umbrellas on the beach are free. Right behind is Şükrü Baba's restaurant. Very friendly and valuable people. Everything I ate was delicious. I recommend it.

The sea is magnificent. Because it's close to Istanbul, it's crowded at the end of the day. You can use either the business or public beach. There are paid restrooms and they're clean. But the road along the sea is truly filthy and littered.

#Güneyli Beach, Gallipoli, Çanakkale. A beach in the Gulf of Saros (Melas Kolpos) belonging to the village of Güneyli. It's quite crowded during the day but quieter in the evening. It's a popular spot for day trippers.
.
Parking is a problem during the day. Parking is possible in the alleys, but the streets are quite narrow.
In the evenings, the police come and fine vehicles that are parked improperly.
.
The sea water is clean and shallow. You keep going and going, but your feet are still firmly on the ground. :)
In this respect, it is suitable for families with small children.
.
There's always a strong or light wind, so the air isn't oppressive. Also, there are plenty of mosquitoes and flies :)
.
Toilets and showers are available. WCs are 15 and 20 TL. Showers are 40 TL. (July 2025 prices)
.
The A101 is very close to the beach. There are also places to eat and drink, such as bars.
.
The beach is occupied by umbrellas and sun loungers from end to end. The neighborhood headman's office rents two sun loungers and one umbrella for 200 TL. Cafes charge 400 TL for their own sun loungers and umbrellas. (July 2025 prices)
.
There are trees on the beach and in areas very close to it, so shade is less of a problem. There's no charge for shade yet :)
.
Like many places, the biggest problem here is GARBAGE.
This is despite the fact that Gelibolu Municipality vehicles come by 2-3 times a day.
Because the streets are narrow and cars are parked, garbage trucks can't get into the side streets. For this reason, there are no trash containers in the side streets. There are, but only in certain areas. The trash overflows. Furthermore, vacationers who are far from the trash containers don't hesitate to throw their trash around.
You can find plastic bags or plastic water bottles almost everywhere.
.
CARAVAN
It can be visited with a caravan.
It's a comfortable stay. There's a parking problem during the day, but day trippers can park wherever they want.
If you want to be a little further from the beach and have a quieter time, my advice is to go to the rightmost, hilly part of the beach.
.
TENT
There is no designated area for tents, but there are plenty left.
Although there is a sign saying that setting up tents is prohibited at the top of the fishing shelter on the left side of the beach, there are plenty of tents :)
My special recommendation for those who want to camp in a tent: There's a small island off to the right of the beach. Go behind the hill near that island. You'll find a stunning view and a perfect beach for pitching a tent and relaxing.

Güneyli is a place we have just discovered, its sea is crystal clear, cold and does not deepen quickly.
You can easily set up your umbrella at the public beach without paying a fee. The municipality also has its own umbrellas, so if you see any available, you can use them free of charge.
Shower is 15 TL, only for a short time :) Changing cabins are available.
Prices are reasonable.
There is Bim and a101.
The local people are very kind and warm-hearted.
One of the most beautiful bays close to Istanbul..
I hope it stays this beautiful.

On July 10th, I went to Güneyli Beach in the Gulf of Saros with my family. We arrived around 3:00 PM, so parking was a problem. There are many cafes and restaurants on the beach. You can eat at whichever suits your budget. We had meatball bread and chips at Ceyna Cafe. I recommend it. The sea was beautiful, warm, but extremely salty. The beach is extremely rocky, and the entrance to the sea is also rocky. So, I recommend wearing swim shoes. If you're a deep-sea enthusiast, you can go for it. After swimming, you can wash your slippers in the pump. After swimming, we walked along the bay. In short, we had another wonderful day. I recommend you come too. Just let's not pollute the beach or the bay. Let's pick up any trash you see. Stay tuned for more ;)
