The beach is beautiful. I think the depth is ideal. You can walk 30-40 meters with your feet touching the ground, and then it gets deeper. However, due to the waves, there's algae and other things floating around. I wouldn't say it's dirty, but it's not clean. We really enjoyed the mountainside, surrounded by nature. Parking is free if you can find a spot for the whole family, but we couldn't find one. There were two spots, 150 TL and 200 TL. We chose the 200 TL one because it had a shower and changing cabin. It gets dirty after getting out of the sea, so you'll have to wash up.
The view is magnificent, the sea and beach are beautiful, but the water was very cold, like a harsh plateau water. Contrary to reviews, there were no crabs or dense seaweed. Services like showers, parking, and more can be provided at more reasonable rates through municipalities.
❗️The beach is completely free, easy to access, the nature is magnificent, the lava columns are magnificent, you can definitely come to see it. We can say that Ankara is young? 70 percent of the visitors are from Ankara, so we did not feel like foreigners at all, we were like in Keçiören. ❗️Shower, dressing cabin and toilet are available in the camping areas, there is a fee of 20-30₺, I do not understand how there is no free shower and toilet at the municipality beach. ‼️For those who are going to camp, my advice to you is to set up directly on the beach, no one will say anything, the government's place is at the back at the bottom of the walking path, there are 2 different camping areas, THEIR TRADESMEN ARE ZERO, THEY HAVE NO FEAR OF GOD, if you come with your own tents, there is a fee of 1000₺ per tent, Oh, and they don't charge IF YOU ARE SINGLE?? You have to be married. I WITNESSED THEM TREATING UNMARRIED PEOPLE LIKE DOGS. Go set up on the beach, no one will say anything. ‼️The water is shallow up to the pontoons you see in the photo and does not even reach your neck. It is a very nice beach for families with children. ‼️There is a parking problem, there is no space left, the gendarmerie does not allow parking everywhere, if you do not want to enter the paid parking lot, it is useful to come early. ‼️There is a pier between the cliffs, on the lava columns, it is forbidden to jump, it is a very good place to take photos etc.
A magnificent view, lava columns, nature, and the sea... Yet, there were almost only local tourists. Day trippers, barbecuers, and filthy garbage everywhere. Tents were set up under a sign that said camping was prohibited near the lava columns. Hundreds of people ate and drank and left, leaving behind everything from plastic bottles to packages and sunflower shells. How can you bring yourself to do this? There are so many garbage containers; why is it so difficult to walk two minutes and throw them in? The sea is sandy, with lots of seaweed in certain areas. The water is warm. Gideros looks more like a place in the Aegean than a place in the Black Sea. I couldn't stop staring at the sea.
It's actually a beautiful place, but the municipality hasn't invested anything. It's become a place where businesses aim to make a lot of money without providing clean and proper service. For example, if you want to quickly get dressed in a changing room without paying any money, that's not an option. You have to pay for a shower and change clothes using the dirty amenities offered only for a fee. The showers and toilets are both awful, but the business hasn't missed the opportunity to make a profit by diluting the liquid soap with water. For example, the beach is beautiful, but the sand is completely unsanitary. You can get glass or cigarette butts in your feet. The people are filthy and indifferent, but the service and warnings are justified. There's also camping behind the beach, which is beautiful, but it's clear they're ignoring the possibility that both these people and us day trippers might want quiet, because the business is blasting music all over the beach.
