Değirmenağzı Beach is a peaceful holiday spot located in the Hacı Yusuflar Neighborhood of Akçakoca, a popular district of Düzce. Being only 2 kilometers away from the town center, it makes transportation easy.
Getting to Değirmenağzı Beach is quite easy. You can reach the beach via İnönü Street and İstanbul Street. You can go there with your private car or you can use public transportation.
Değirmenağzı Beach is a perfect option for those who want to be in touch with nature and enjoy the sea.

The beach is very nice, quieter than other beaches, less sand because it's pebbly, so it's good in that respect. However, the stream running next to it smells like sewage. You can tell from the color of the sea that the side where the water flows is murky. I don't understand. People are sitting with picnic tables in the stream and putting their babies in the water. It's a shame. The municipality is warning about diarrhea outbreaks. Of course, don't go in there, it's filthy. Please, please.
It's a beautiful place. It just needs to be cleaned more regularly and properly. We went in October, so it wasn't the right season, so we couldn't swim.
The wavy sea is perhaps because it is a classic Black Sea beach. But the fact that the stream next door flowed purified near the beach also made me uneasy. There is a small beach under the teacher's house, a couple of kiosks, and even a business with a pool. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. 2 sun loungers and an umbrella cost 30 TL in July 2020. There is a parking space for 20-25 cars in front of the beach, there is no free dressing room or toilet!
The closest beach is the teachers' house. Because we went for a sightseeing trip at the end of the season, the beach was closed. The sea was extremely choppy. Perhaps it was because it was closed, I don't know, but there were no toilets, showers, etc. A stream/brook flows right next to the beach, bringing fresh and salt water side by side.
I went to the hidden garden for breakfast. The breakfast was very nice, the view was a 10, but it is not a place to swim as it is very stony.
